Yemen’s Ministry of Transportation recently announced that it intends to privatize the Red Sea Mokha Port. The Ministry has invited investors to submit offers for developing and managing the port. Details regarding the source of the project’s financing have yet to be released, reported SABA

There are five seaports in Yemen, Mokha, Aden, Hodaidah, Mukalla and Saleef. The port of Mokha consists of one pier of 175 meters in length and 35 meters in width allowing for vessels to berth on either side. It is equipped with three modern cranes with a lifting capacity of 18 tons per crane. The port has open yards for warehousing along with four warehouses with equipment for storing goods that cannot withstand the conditions of open yards. — (menareport.com)
