Yemen: AFESD to finance projects worth $47 million

The Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) will finance a number of service projects in Yemen's Hadhramout province with a total cost of $47 million, General Manager of the Local Authority of Water and Sanitation Saleh Ahmad Ba-Raba has recently said. 

 

Ba-Raba said in remarks published by The 26 September.net website that his authority was completing negotiations with the fund over those projects. 

 

The targeted projects include a sewerage network in Ghail Ba-Wazeer district, more water wells in the Falak valley and the second phase of the water pipelines to al-Mokala city which would feed the new source of water in 

al-Mokala with a cost of $22 million. 

 

The World Bank will finance the second phase of al-Mokala water and sanitation project with a cost of $25 million. (menareport.com)
