Xerox recently announced that it had signed a new multi-million dollar Full Service and Maintenance Partnership (FSMA) with the Saudi Telecom Company (STC). The agreement, which is worth more than 10 million Saudi Riyals ($2.5 million), covers a period of twenty-two months and is the largest on-site contract for Xerox in the Middle East.

Two full time Xerox engineers are now permanently based at the new Riyadh facility, managing the telecom company’s high-volume printing system, confirmed a press release. The on-site engineers are also responsible for servicing and maintaining STC’s twelve Xerox DocuPrint 180 laser printers, ensuring that all of its mobile Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) statements and bills are sent out on time and error-free.

The FSMA is an extension and expansion of a previous one-year warranty contract between Xerox and STC. Under the terms of the new contract Xerox will install a further four DocuPrint 180s over the coming months.

XEROX is an $18.6 billion global corporation with an annual research and development budget of $1.8 billion. Its portfolio of products includes publishing systems, printers, integrated office systems, document management software programs, scanners, fax machines and copiers.

The Olayan Group entered into a commercial cooperation for distribution of Xerox products and services with Xerox Limited in 1986 to form Saudi Xerox Agencies Company (SXL). SXL is headquartered in Riyadh and has Regional offices in Jeddah, Khobar and Riyadh Provinces, apart from being represented by several dealerships across the Kingdom. — (menareport.com)
