XEROX, world leader in document management technology, recently opened a high-tech training facility in Dubai. The new digital technology training center, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East, Eurasia and Africa, will impart training to XEROX employees and distributor partners on the latest document management and production publishing technology systems.
Roy Harding, vice president of distributor operations at XEROX Middle East & Africa, said that over 150 participants from Middle East, Turkey, Russia and Africa had already undergone intensive training programs at the centre, since it opened a couple of months ago.
The new training facility has a networked publishing ‘laboratory’ that will enable its trainers to demonstrate first-hand on how digital technology can assist in streamlining business processes. The trainers themselves are vertical industry sector specialists sourced from Europe, UK and South Africa.
The publishing laboratory is equipped with the production publishers, color printers, specialist printers, scanners, finishers and DigiPath office production software as well as the latest document management, archiving and retrieval software. The center also incorporates a 22-seat lecture theatre with audio-visual equipment, and ‘break-out’ facilities.
Established in 1985, Xerox Middle East is headquartered in Dubai and operates through a distribution network, which markets its document management products, applications and solutions.
