ALBAWABA - Is X down? social media users have been submitting complaints that Elon Musk's platform is facing an outage on Monday.

Down Detector website revealed that users have been reporting "problems" at X (formerly known as Twitter).

Various comments were made on Down Detector with many making jokes on the X problem. A person mockingly said: "HOW WILL I SCAM OLD PEOPLE NOW?". Another added: "liberal domestic terrorists have attacked Twitter!"

Another social media user commented: "Twitter is down for me, I’m happy I checked on her,e I thought something was wrong with my account when my feed didn’t refresh."

Who is behind the cyber attack on X?

X owner Elon Musk accused Ukraine of being behind the cyber attack against his platform, yesterday. Musk told Fox News that the attack originated from "IP addresses in the Ukraine area."

Over tens of thousands of users have reported problems in using X (formerly known as Twitter), with about three major disruptions to the website and app.

On the other hand, Pro-Palestinian hacker group "Dark Storm Team" claimed responsibility, identifying it as a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. The posted a Telegram post, confirming they have successfully "taken Twitter offline".

They also supported the claim by posting a screenshot showing a real-time connectivity status page with failed connection attempts from various locations worldwide.
