The World Bank has decided to grant a $200-million loan package to Egypt during the course of the year 2001. According to Al-Morakab Al-Inmai magazine, these loans are intended to finance economic and social development projects, in addition to advanced technology projects.
The Egyptian World Bank representative, Mahmud Aiub, revealed that a joint work team was formed by the Bank and Egypt in order to determine the priority of the projects to be funded by these loans. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
