In line with Development Committee discussions at this month’s World Bank/IMF Spring Meetings, the Executive Directors of the World Bank met today and gave full authority to Bank management to determine when the time is appropriate to send a mission to Iraq for a field-based needs assessment.

As in the past, Bank management will consult with Executive Directors, who represent the institution’s 184 member countries, throughout the process. As a multilateral organization, the Bank will continue to work in close partnership with bilateral and multilateral development agencies, particularly United Nations agencies. — (menareport.com)
