Construction is said to be advancing on the Bahrain City Centre project, which got underway in the Seef District in February. Earthworks and foundations involving approximately 3,500 reinforced concrete piles of varying diameters are being bored into the ground to depths ranging from 15 to 30 metres.
Set to become the country's biggest retail complex, it will house the Middle East's largest 20-screen Cineco Cinema and more than 350 shops - including six anchor stores.
According to The GDN, the Bahrain City Centre features a 5,000 square metre Magic Planet and two hotels with a total of 700 rooms combined, which will directly link to the mall itself.
