ALBAWABA - Trump's $499 T1 phone is still missing as the 590,000 buyers still await the release of the gold-themed device despite multiple delays.
Customers who pre-ordered the phone for $100 have grown frustrated, with many calling for a refund. Trump's $499 T1 phone was first announced in June 2025, with an initial release date between August and September 2025.
However, despite promises from Trump Mobile, the T1 Phone faced multiple delays, with the release date recently pushed to mid-January 2026. Analysts claim the delays occurred due to the US's restricted supply chain policies. Moreover, a Financial Times report linked the delay to the US government shutdown.
Where is Trump's $499 T1 phone? Delay causes refund calls
A social media user on X (Formerly Twitter) wrote, "They claimed it was “made in USA” but once they realised it wasn’t possible, they pivoted to “brought to life in the USA” which just means it’s made in China using an OEM design and packaged in the USA."
They added, "Everyone knows this is a scam but nobody is brave enough to speak out against it. How does a President get away with this?"
Many also asked those who pre-ordered the T1 phone seven months ago whether they received it yet.
