ALBAWABA - Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Governor of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), was previously seen playing golf with President-elect Donald Trump. He was spotted again this Saturday at the UFC fight sitting next to Trump and referred to as ‘the mystery man.’

What you need to know about Yasir Al-Rumayyan

Yasir Al-Rumayyan, is a Saudi businessman and governor of the Public Investment Fund, the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Al-Rumayyan chairs Saudi Aramco, the state-owned petroleum company, and Maaden, Saudi Arabia's largest mining company.

Al-Rumayyan earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Faisal University in 1993 and a degree in public administration from Harvard Business School in 2007.

Al-Rumayyan began his career in 2004 as a founding member of the Capital Market Authority (CMA), Saudi Arabia’s financial regulatory body. He later served on the Board of Directors of the Saudi Exchange, Tadawul.

Al-Rumayyan also served as the CEO and Managing Director of Saudi Fransi Capital and as Director of International Brokerage at the Dutch Bank.

In 2016, Al-Rumayyan was appointed advisor to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers with the rank of Minister. He has also chaired and served on the boards of several prominent companies, including Sanabil Investment, Noon Investment, King Abdullah Financial District, Aramco, the Future Investment Initiative, and Ma'aden.

Yasir Al-Rumayyan was seen with Donald Trump and Elon Musk at UFC 309 on Saturday. The three men, with a combined net worth of approximately $1.8 trillion, were seen engaging in conversation during the event.
