Western Digital appoints Khawaja as regional director

Western Digital, manufacturer of hard-disk drives, has appointed Hafeez Khawaja as its regional director for emerging markets. As part of his new role, Khawaja will be responsible for growing Western Digital’s leading position in the Middle Eastern market.  

 

“The Middle East is now one of the fastest growing markets worldwide for digital storage and is a key area of focus for Western Digital,” said Western Digital vice president of international sales Klaas de Vos. “Over the coming months, we plan to introduce new technologies and invest in our human resources in order to build upon our success in the region.”  

 

The Company has seen strong demand for its products across the region, particularly in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Khawaja’s charter is to consolidate the successes in these territories and expand Western Digital’s reach into new markets throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council. Khawaja’s responsibilities cover a number of territories including the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Russia CIS, and Africa.
