Wella Middle East recorded a 21 percent increase in export sales for the year 2002, with Saudi Arabia maintaining its position as largest single partner country importer of Wella products in the world.

While ranking number two in the total retail hair care market, Wella continues to hold the leading market share position in three out of the four hair cosmetic categories. Wella leads the market in color, styling and conditioners, reaching up to 66 percent of the color market in Kuwait, which is the highest market share by Wella in retail color worldwide.

Wella Middle East recently held a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Strategy Conference along the coast of Oman. The theme ‘Change and Commitment – Creating the Path’ was prevalent throughout the two-day conference, from the irreverent presentations and innovative 2003 – 2005 business initiatives to team building exercises and changing color themes of the main marquee. — (menareport.com)
