According to BridgeNews Chavez spoke to BridgeNews following meetings Tuesday with Brazilian President Fernando Henrique Cardoso and other Brazilian officials here. He said, "Given the recent OPEC cuts in production, there is no need to cut n production again now."
He added, "If more cuts are needed sometime in the future (in order to keep to the band), then we will make cuts."
