At the launch, guests were invited to begin their Valentino V journey by passing through two anterooms which helped transport them from the real world to a surreal world, just as the fragrance transports its wearer into Valentino’s world of unique grace and femininity. The first room fascinated guests with a display of beautiful classical paintings, but then as they continued the journey, they encountered a spectacular array of real life “paintings” – female models posed in life-sized frames – that took them one step closer to the fairy-tale world of Valentino V. Provided by Pan Emirates, classical furniture props added to the charm and enchantment of the evening.
They then were ushered into the ballroom, where, comfortably seated, they were initiated into the secrets behind the creation of the fragrance – from the scent to the design of the bottle. “I worked closely with Valentino himself on the making of the fragrance. The feeling and emotion evoked by the carefully selected blend of ingredients embodies the essence of transformation and contradiction, elements intrinsic to the life of modern women,” UK-based professeur de parfum Roja Dove told the assembled guests.
The reveal of the print campaign was as magical and enchanting as the fragrance itself, created to fulfill every woman’s fantasy about feeling feminine and divine. What followed was an astounding procession of male and female admirers surrounding the “goddess”, who entered the ballroom showcasing her jewel, a bottle of Valentino V. Dressed in elegant outfits from top fashion house Ekaterina and Mario Fashion, the luxurious fabrics and red feather masks epitomized style with a touch of mystery. The goddess and her admirers encouraged guests to indulge their olfactory senses and experience the world of Valentino V by placing red Valentino V scented feathers on each table.
