Director of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in Egypt recently stated that it would be willing to cooperate with Japan's Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) to finance development projects in Egypt.
Director Willard Pearson added that such aid could help Egypt attain financial growth, and that cooperation between Egypt and other nations is a positive way of promoting the nation’s economy at this watershed phase.
Egypt recently received approximately $190 million in investments from Japan. In addition, a Japanese investment bureau was established in Cairo last year to promote economic exchanges between the two countries. –(MENA Report)
