The Italian Technip has awarded a multi-million dollar contract jointly to the New-Jersey-based security systems provider ECSI and its authorized agent, the Abdulla Fouad Company of Saudi Arabia. The companies have been contracted to secure the Haradh Gas Plant currently under construction in the Saudi kingdom. ECSI expects to recognize $2.1 million from this contract during fiscal 2003, which begins July 01, 2002.
Securing the new Haradh Gas Plant, ECSI will install a number of proprietary systems. The Fiber Optic Intelligence Detection Systems (FOIDS(R)) incorporates sensor cable that can be buried in the ground and under carpet, or attached to fences, walls, rooflines, drop ceilings, or on any fixed surface for extensive zone detection areas.
The Video Motion Detection System (VMDS) is designed and constructed for outdoor intrusion detection, coordinating CCTV cameras, digital processing and fiber optic links, and is configured to react to human characteristics of size, speed and direction. The Microwave Intruder Detection System (MIDS) consists of a computer platform and microwave sensors that detect human movement.
The Intrusion Detection and Monitoring System(TM) (IDMS) is a PC-based monitoring and control system that allows several different intrusion systems to be integrated into a single coherent security and detection unit.
ECSI is engaged in the design, manufacture and marketing of physical electronic security systems for high profile, high threat environments, whether government installations, business organizations or private infrastructure market.
The company has marketing agreements with GE, Dell, and Lau Technologies and has teamed international system integrators such as Lockheed Martin, TRW, and Honeywell Corp. ECSI's systems secure airports, oil reserves, nuclear power plants, marine facilities, military sites and other sensitive installations throughout the world. — (menareport.com)
