Lyamec Corporation, a US-based company specializing in Libyan markets, said it will lead American Health Corp., a health products and services provider, into a multi-million dollar agreement to implement business practices in the Arab state.
According to a company press release, the agreement comprises effective investment-related franchises, merchandising agreements, joint ventures and market-entry strategies. It also includes a product distribution agreement effective on completion of the first phase of the newly planned distribution center.
Libya's recent surprise agreement to abort its programs for weapons of mass destruction (WMD) has renewed US commercial interest in the Arab state. Still, the US government has yet to commit to lifting economic sanctions, which have been intact since the 1980s.
Lyamec was established in 1999 to fulfill the demand for US made products for specific Libyan market segments as outlined by former US President Bill Clinton. The company economically assists American corporations in the food and medical industry in developing effective sales and distribution channels in Libya. — (menareport.com)
