The American assistant secretary of commerce for market access and compliance, William Lash, recently arrived in Doha, reported Al-Hayat . The American representative met with the Qatari Minister of Industry and Energy, Abdulah Al-Attiya, and visited the Ras Laffan Industrial City. The American official stressed the importance of bilateral commercial and economic ties between the two countries, particularly since Qatar is currently an international center for modern gas industry technologies.
