As an extension of their global cooperation, TBWARAAD Middle East and UNICEF are planning the communication campaign of UNICEF’s latest fund raising campaign launched in Dubai to support Iraqi children. The campaign named “Getting Iraqi Children back to School” aims to raise funds to provide essential teaching and learning materials for about 5.4 million students in about 15,500 primary and intermediate schools.
Stefan Toma, UNICEF Gulf office representative said: “Everyone is concerned with supplies of food and shelter and clothes which is essential. At UNICEF, we saw the necessity of paralleling this to reviving the educational system in Iraq. Construction of Iraq should be based on constructing the future of its people who will be the real arms building the country and developing its well-being”.
The campaign is supported by many government and private sector entities in Dubai. “For the communication plan of the campaign it was only normal to approach UNICEF’s worldwide agency TBWA. Being the agency with the greatest knowledge of our guidelines was supported by the human concern it showed in contributing to this campaign by designing and producing different communications for the campaign as a complement”, he added.
Ramzi Raad, Chairman and CEO of TBWARAAD Middle East commented: “Our contribution to the UNICEF’s campaign is not merely to serve our global client, as it comes from the faith we have in the importance of the case they are supporting which gave us the enthusiasm to create the right message for this campaign. Although we are in a world of a roaring business environment we cannot forget to pay tribute and to invest in the best asset ever; human beings”. (menareport.com)
