Electric Paper selected to administer testing for the International Computer Driving Licence in the Arab world
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has chosen e-learning firm Electric Paper (EP)Dublin based company with offices in Harrow, Middlesex, as an automated testing provider for the International Computer Driving License (ICDL) in the Arab region.
ICDL is an internationally recognized qualification that enables people to certify their competence in essential computer skills and knowledge. It certifies to a set standard the Information Technology (IT) skills people already have or the skills they attain through training.
According to EP’s Jonathan CornwellJonny Parkes, : Electric Paper’s managing director: “This marks another benchmark for AutoTest, the company’s award-winning testing product, which was one of the first of its kind to receive accreditation for automated testing of the ICDL. At present, some 1.7 million people around the world are studying to completefor the ECDL/ICDL rather than the ECDL - qualification,” he added.
AutoTest enables organizations to test and deliver results automatically for IT literacy students, eliminating the need for offline correction and reducing both human error and the time traditionally required for this purpose.

As part of its growth strategy, Electric Paper has launched a partner program specifically for the Middle East. “Membership of Electric Paper’s partner network will enable businesses that are already involved in the training, educational and technology markets to increase their revenue and market share at a low marginal cost,” Parkes continued. “In return, Electric Paper will provide them with generous commission, marketing support, training, technical support and other rewards.”
