Ukrainian national oil and gas company to join rebuilding efforts

Ukrainian national oil and gas company Naftohaz Ukrayiny intends to take part in projects to rebuild Iraq and is holding talks regarding oil and gas projects in the country, the company said in a press release cited by <i>Interfax</i>.

 

During the talks, the sides discussed a possibility for Naftohaz Ukrayiny to receive direct contracts and subcontracts to implement projects to rebuild Iraq oil and gas sector. Naftohaz Ukrayiny's participation in tenders issued by the Iraqi Oil Ministry's State Company for Oil Projects at the Koia oil refinery is currently being discussed.

 

Additionally, Naftohaz Ukrayiny intends to take part in developing the Kormor gas field, some 80 kilometers north of Kirkuk.
