ALBAWABA - In a shocking discovery, Ukraine has a new employee in its government but to everyone's surprise, the individual in question is "not human".

Victoria Shi who is based on Rosalie Nombre, a singer and former contestant on Ukraine’s version of the reality TV show "The Bachelor", is Ukraine's new AI-generated foreign ministry spokesperson who from now on will handle official statements made by the Ukrainian government, according to The Guardian

MFA Ukraine took to their official X account (formerly known as Twitter) and posted a video of the Victoria Shi and captioned it with:

"Meet Victoria Shi — a digital representative of the MFA of Ukraine, created using AI to provide timely updates on consular affairs! For the first time in history, the MFA of Ukraine has presented a digital persona that will officially comment for the media."

In an official statement, the foreign ministry stated that this is "the first time in history" that it will be using a digital spokesperson to convey its statements to the world but will all be written by a human beforehand.

Victoria appeared to be wearing a sleek black suit with the Ukrainian flag and a cardboard with the MFA logo behind her as she introduced herself and stated what she'd be doing in the future.

Social media users were not happy with the decision

The video was not received well among users across social media as they were seen judging the government for resorting to AI instead of using an actual human for its speeches. Here's what several had to say about the matter:

"Why not just use an actual Ukrainian? No for real, why not use a person?"

"I’m not real and neither is my information. Got it. Thanks for telling me."

"Cringe."
