Innpro International, a UK-based consultancy and project management firm in the hotel, leisure and entertainment industries, has signed an agreement with the Dubai Palm Developers LLC. The deal confirms Innpro's intention to build a one-billion Emirati dirham ($270,000) hotel complex on the west marina of The Palm, Jumeirah.
The design for the hotel complex is under development by Innpro‘s architects and the company is planning to set up an office in Dubai shortly, commented Managing Director Andreas Heyer.
The Innpro development on The Palm, Jumeirah's west marina, will cover in excess of 200,000 square foot and is set to include a hotel combined with a shopping, entertainment and health complex. The Palm will be home to four marinas in total—two on each island—together capable of berthing up to 400 yachts.
“Innpro International is a welcome addition to the growing list of first-class property developers and hotel groups that have already signed deals with The Palm,” said Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, executive chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation and executive chairman of The Palm.
Formed in August 2000, Innpro has previously developed several hotels, shopping-areas and office buildings and deals with project planning, development, investment, construction management, project guiding, finance and marketing.
They are currently involved in developing a number of projects in Cologne including the abc-tower in the airport business center; extension to the Cologne University; congress hotel building and office tower; and a congress hall. In addition to the soon to open Dubai office Innpro has offices in Germany, Switzerland and the UK.
The Palm involves the creation of the world's largest two man-made islands known as The Palm, Jumeirah and The Palm, Jebel Ali. The two palm-tree shaped islands are located just off the coast of the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The project will increase Dubai's shoreline by a total of 120 kilometers and create a large number of residential, leisure and entertainment opportunities.
Comprised of approximately 100 million cubic meters of rock and sand, each island will eventually support 50 luxury hotels, 2,500 exclusive residential beachside villas, up to 2,400 shoreline apartments, two marinas, water theme parks, restaurants, shopping malls, sports facilities, health spas and cinemas.
Construction commenced in June 2001 after many years of research and planning. Both islands will take approximately two years to be completely raised from the sea. A further two to three years will be required to complete the infrastructure and the buildings. The end-result will be the creation of two virtually self-contained communities within the islands. — (menareport.com)
