UAE's FDI hit a record $10 billion in 2005

Figures issued by the Inter-Arab Investment Guarantee Corporation (IAIGC), an affiliate of the Arab League, show that the foreign direct investments (FDI) inflow into the UAE hit a record $10 billion in 2005, nearly 34 per cent of the total foreign capital flows into the Arab world in the same year.

 

All in all, the figures indicate that the FDI inflow into the Arab World hit a record $29.6 billion in 2005, which is equivalent to 3.3 per cent of the total foreign investment channeled worldwide.
