The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) awarded thirty-one United Arab Emirates (UAE) students, certificates of accomplishment on the successful completion of their two-month on-the-job summer training with the department. In all, 22 boys and nine girls from UAE's schools and universities undertook the summer training at the DTCM.
“Our summer training program for students, is designed to contribute to the government's policy of creating employment opportunities for young UAE nationals,” said DTCM Manager of Human Resources Abdul Hakim Thani. He noted that the DTCM takes on capable trainees and provides them with full time employment at the department.
“Special attention was given to each student during the training period to ensure that the training program was a success and the trainees gained valuable theoretical and practical work experience,” Thani stressed.
Over a period of two months, the trainees were briefed about the role and objectives of the DTCM, its organization and structure, plans and priorities and activities and operations and underwent training with the various divisions at the DTCM Head Office as well as the sites. — (menareport.com)
