UAE stock exchange drops $7.7 million in first week of 2002

The levels of exchanges on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) local financial markets dropped to 28.3 million Emirati dirhams ($7.7 million) on January 2, 2002 compared with a peak record of Dh 57 million achieved on December 31, 2001, reported Al-Ittihad .  

 

The number of exchanged stocks on the local securities markets declined to 686,000 stocks in the first week of January. The stocks were traded through 178 transactions, 37 percent of which were Abu Dhabi National Bank stocks. — (menareport.com)
