UAE shoe industry attracts $273 million in investments annually

Investments in the United Arab Emirate (UAE)'s shoe market are estimated at around one billion dirhams ($273 million) annually, reported Xinhua. Leather shoes comprise around 30 percent of the shoe market, while rubber and plastic shoes account for the rest. Demand for leather shoes rose by approximately nine percent annually over the past few years. 

 

The Emirate of Dubai is to get the first Brazilian footwear trade showroom outside South America. The plan was unveiled by the Brazilian footwear association Sidicato Da Industria De Calcados De Jau at the recent Motexha Spring international fashion and retail trade show. — (menareport.com)
