The on-going construction boom, growth and expansion of trade and industry and an increase in population during the last decade have helped UAE's plastic industry to sustain growth, according to industry sources.
"Given the fast growing market demand for whole range of plastic materials and products in the backdrop of the current all-round boom, the industry is geared for a further major leap in the coming years," said an industry analyst, quoted by Khaleej Times.
At present, the industry, which employs more than 13,000 people, has a total output of more than 150,000 tons.
Along with this, other industries, including refrigeration, furniture and pharmaceutical industries have also increased various plastic products as substitutes for metallic products. (menareport.com)
