Chocolates made of camel milk will soon hit the shelves in the UAE. The first samples were manufactured in Vienna and were shipped to the UAE for market testing, Al Ain Dairy announced Monday, according to a report in Khaleej Times.

Key customers to be targeted in the first phase are the duty free of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and the deluxe hotels. Al Ain Dairy, together with Hochleitner Ltd., will set up a manufacturing plant in Al Ain to become operational in the second quarter of 2006. The main raw material - camel milk - will be sourced from the Al Ain Dairy's subsidiary camel farm.

The existing camel farm is expected to add another 2,000 camels to satisfy the needs of the new chocolate factory.
