UAE nationals employed by local private sector companies will get a minimum salary of Dh3,000 a month even if they are school dropouts, according to a new decision issued by the Ministry of Labour on Wednesday.
According to the Gulf News, the decision fixing minimum wage for UAE nationals working in the private sector was issued on Wednesday by Dr Ali Bin Abdullah Al Ka'abi, Minister of Labour. The decision says UAE citizens will be counted within the nationalisation rate of private establishments only if their monthly wages are Dh5,000 for post secondary school degree holders, Dh4,000 for secondary school degree holders and Dh3,000 for sub-secondary school degree holders.
