A senior United Nations official has hailed the UAE for its $27 billion contribution for building the Jenin camp in Palestine.
Peter Hansen, the outgoing Commissioner-General of United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestinian refugees, said the UAE's contribution came through the Red Crescent Authority (RCA). The Jenin Refugee Camp covers an area of 3,500 m2 occupied by 1,100 houses.
