The UAE will introduce a rent restriction law that will prevent property owners from demanding excessive rent hikes, a top UAE official said in a statement cited by WAM.
The new move comes as property owners have been utilizing the strong demand for additional middle-income housing by raising rents by up to 80 per cent, Gulf News reported.
