Government representatives from Canada and the UAE have recently concluded a new air transport agreement, reported Gulf News. The agreement aims to regulate and facilitate the air-space traffic between the two states.

According to the agreement, airlines designated by either government, will be allowed to operate services between various cities in Canada and the Emirates. The agreement also allows air carriers providing services to operate their own aircraft or use code-sharing arrangements.

Referring to the agreement, Ahmed Humaid Al-Tayer, the UAE’s minister of communications, said that he hopes that it would enhance tourism between the two countries, and that both Emirates Airlines and Gulf Air would operate on the new UAE-Canada routes.
