The UAE Cabinet has announced its second balanced federal budget whose revenue is projected to hit AED 27.8 bn, 23% higher than the previous year. The 2006 budget focuses on education, health, social services and projects. It has balanced expenditure and revenue, both totaling AED 27.878 bn.
The UAE is the first country in the region to implement the PBS in its financial and accounting system as per international standards.
