Zenath Group (a member of ETA STAR Group) and KRUSE Group (Germany) have announced the setting up of a joint venture company to produce AdBlue locally - AdBlue Middle East ( the JV Company) have inaugurated the AdBlue production facility on 21st January 2010 at Al Qusais, in the Emirate of Dubai. This state of the art production facility is the first of its kind in the entire Middle East Region.

The AdBlue Middle East Plant at Dubai has a production capacity of 15,000.000 litres and storage capacity of 250,000 litres. The production plant is equipped with the latest technology guaranteeing the highest quality of the product. AdBlue is a fluid required by many new diesel trucks and buses to reduce toxic nitrogen oxide and particles in the exhaust gases.

“AdBlue is a clear, non-toxic solution of a chemical called urea. It is safe to handle and does not harm the environment,” explained Mr. Matthias Kruse, the CEO at KRUSE Group, Germany. AdBlue is stored in a separate tank near the diesel tank and is not added to the diesel. Every truck and bus manufacturer in the region has models that require AdBlue. Having a regional production source of AdBlue will give us an opportunity to further improve on our customer service levels.

Mr. Syed M. Salahuddin, the Managing Director of ETA Ascon Star Group added that “Zenath Group is an environmentally-focused company started with collection of waste paper and is now proud to be associated with the first AdBlue production facility in the Middle East region which will help not only the environment by reducing the emissions created by diesel engines, but it will also help the customers reduce fuel costs, by reducing fuel consumption.

AdBlue Middle East will start the regional production of AdBlue from February 2010 onwards and it will start dispensing the product through dispensers and cans. “We will start offering AdBlue in either a 1000 litre IBC pump set, floor standing cabinet pumps, smaller 10 litre canisters or in bulk,” added Mr. JSA Bukhari, the Executive Director of Zenath Group. The larger storage facilities use specialist pumps, metres, hoses, nozzles and fittings. The cabinet version can be connected to an IBC or a bulk storage tank. AdBlue is a complex product and supplying it blended from a regional plant will help us reassure customers across the Middle East region of getting a product confirming to the  highest quality standards and reliability of supply.

Mr. Bukhari further added that the whole purpose of this SCR process is to reduce the percentage of harmful NOx (nitrous oxide) emissions present in all diesel vehicles emissions, by breaking the NOx emissions down into mainly Nitrogen and Oxygen. Regional legislation requires vehicle manufacturers to use this technology to reach the reduced levels of pollutants. Thus the usage of AdBlue will contribute to the vital causes of Environmental protection & Fossil Fuel Conservation. This will help us leave a safer planet for our future generations.”
