ALBAWABA - In a significant diplomatic move, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Mongolia have formalized a visa-free travel agreement through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The accord, signed by Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State for the UAE, and Battsetseg Batmunkh, Mongolia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, reflects a shared commitment to deepen bilateral relations and promote common interests.
The memorandum stipulates that nationals from the UAE holding regular, diplomatic, special, and mission passports can now enjoy visa exemption for trips to Mongolia, allowing them to stay for up to 30 days per visit. Similarly, Mongolian citizens with diplomatic, official, and regular passports are granted visa-free entry into the UAE, effective from December 28, 2023.
This diplomatic gesture aims to facilitate movement between the two nations, fostering a stronger partnership across various domains such as politics, economics, culture, education, and more. The agreement is anticipated to serve as a crucial catalyst in enhancing joint cooperation and solidifying the bonds between the United Arab Emirates and Mongolia.
