ALBAWABA – EDGE, UAE’s leading advanced technology group, established to develop agile, bold, and disruptive solutions for defense and beyond, and to be a catalyst for change and transformation, announced the launch of FADA, a new space company.

EDGE stated that the launch of FADA will enhance its global competitiveness, strengthen capacity building, and foster next-generation solutions to establish a leading space science base.

FADA will focus on making a significant contribution to the UAE’s economic transformation and achieving global diversification goals.

FADA scope

FADA is set to launch advanced facilities for the development, manufacture, assembly, integration, and testing of various satellite systems.

The project will include space radar technologies, electro-optical technologies, infrared payloads, satellite structures, and satellite cybersecurity.

It is worth noting that EDGE’s announcement on the FADA launch follows its selection to implement ‘Sirb’ by the UAE Space Agency. The 'Sirb' program includes three satellites, with the first, ‘Sirb-1,’ scheduled for launch in 2026.
