The Turkish benchmark stock index closed the day at 8,876.22 points on Friday, down by 0.98% from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index dropped 87.88 points from Thursday’s close.
The lowest value of the index for the day was 8,836.95, while its daily high was 9,080.68.
Some 20 indexes increased in value, while 80 declined at the end of the day.
The total transaction volume reached 73 billion Turkish liras ($2.12 billion), while the overall value of the index was 7.7 trillion liras ($226.5 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 34.2815 as of 6.45 p.m. (1645GMT), the EUR/TRY rate üstood at 37.5310, while the GBP/TRY traded at 44.8390.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,658.35, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $78.6.
