Turkey’s Bottle and Glass Factories’ new beer bottling plant is scheduled to go on stream by September. Located in Vladmir, Russia the $26 million factory will produce 300 million bottles of beer annually during its first year of operation, reported Anatolia

The company established a joint glassware factory with Germany’s Schott Firm in Esikiehir back in 1997. The $49.6-million facility opened two years later. The company exports all of its output abroad.

The glass industry is one of the most important and highly developed industries in Turkey. The T. Şişe ve Cam Fab. A.Ş Group accounts for approximately 90 percent of the nation’s annual production, with its twenty manufacturing establishments and two marketing companies.

Turkish glass products are exported to about 100 countries in the world. The major destination countries are Germany, Italy, Egypt, the United Kingdom, France and Greece. — (menareport.com)
