Turkey submits letter of intent to IMF

The government of Turkey has submitted a letter of intent to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which describes the policies that Turkey intends to implement in the context of its request for financial support from the IMF.  

 

The new government proclaimed its determination to strengthen and implement the ongoing economic reform program of Turkey. The governments asserted it will work to provide a stable macroeconomic environment and implement fundamental structural reforms  

 

The letter of intent was approved by IMF Executive Directors Board regarding fourth review of Turkey and dating April 5, 2003. — (menareport.com)
