Turkey’s Ramenka Group is scheduled to open its fourth Ramstore shopping mall in Russia by November 2002. The new shopping facility will feature retail areas, an amusement park, a bowling alley and five cinemas, reported Anatolia.
Ramenka was established in 1997 for the purpose of building Ramstore, a multi-functional trade complex network located in Moscow. Its founders were Turkish Companies Enka, Migros and the RAM Foreign Trade Company.
The Ram Foreign Trade Company is a subsidiary of the KOC Group, Turkey’s largest industrial-trade-financial conglomerate. Migros was founded in 1954 and owns a network of 200 supermarkets. In 1974, KOC redeemed shares of Migros and acquired ownership of the company. Within the last year Migros constructed 52 new supermarkets.
There are currently three operational Ramstore malls In Russia, located in Kuntsevo, Marina Rosha and Kashirskaya. The shopping centers feature famous brand names, fast food restaurants and hair salons. — (menareport.com)
