Turkey’s exports increased by 29 percent last month

Turkey exported $3.15 billion worth of goods last month, a 29 percent increase compared to figures from the same period in the previous year. Exports in the first seven months of the year increased by 9.1 percent, reported the Turkish Exports’ Union (TIM). 

 

The nation’s foreign trade deficit dropped 62.3 percent, from $1.8 billion to $691 million as of January 2002, reported the State Institute for Statistics (DIE). Turkey exported $2.4 billion worth of goods in January 2002 and imported $3.1 billion worth of merchandise during the same period. — (menareport.com)
