Turkey’s exports to the EU increased by 2.7 percent

Turkey’s exports to the European Union reached $6.9 billion from January to May, a 2.7 percent rise compared to figures from last year. Exports to Italy decreased by 10 percent while exports to France and the Netherlands increased by 2.2 percent and 3.7 percent respectively, reported Milliyet

 

Turkey’s foreign trade deficit dropped 62.3 percent, from $1.8 billion to $691 million as of January 2002, reported the State Institute for Statistics (DIE). Turkey exported $2.4 billion worth of goods in January 2002 and imported $3.1 billion worth of merchandise during the same period. — (menareport.com)
