Tunisia targets a 4.8 percent income per capita growth rate by 2006, under its currently applied five-year economic development plan, which was launched at the beginning of 2001, reported Al-Hayat. The country’s average income per capita is expected to grow to 3,500 Tunisian dinars ($2,400) by 2004 and then on to TD 4,110 ($2,900) by 2006.
