Tunisian tourism experts have recently announced that their tourism growth forecast for the year 2001 has been lowered by 50 percent. Following the September 11 attacks on the United States and the American campaign against Afghanistan, Tunisian analysts lowered their predictions by only seven percent, reported Al-Bayan . Earlier this year, Tunisian officials anticipated that the national tourism industry would grow by 15 percent. The tourism sector is the second largest employer in the country. — (menareport.com)
