Tunisia's President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, has recently received from Mr. Taoufik Bakkar, governor of the country's Central Bank (BCT), the annual report of the bank for the year 2003.
The annual report underlined the recovery of the growth rate (5.6%) maily thanks to the recovery of several agricultural and industrial activities.
It also indicatesd that the country has managed to guarantee the fundamental balances as shown through the fall of the deficit of the payment balance, the keeping-up of the budget to the same level of 2002 despite the pressure of the world juncture's fluctuations as well as the control of inflation at about 2.7 %.
