Global express company TNT/SAB has telegraphed major change for Saudi Arabia with the appointment of executive Mark Pell as Country Manager for the Kingdom.
“Saudi Arabia is an economic powerhouse and a strategic market for us,” says Pell, who is already TNT General Manager for other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. “TNT/SAB Express was keen to link the Kingdom with the rest of the Gulf from a management point of view. It’s all part of ensuring we achieve common objectives across the region.”
“Over 30 per cent of the freight we move into Saudi Arabia comes from the GCC. My appointment is part of streamlining our operation in the GCC, bringing it under one umbrella,” says Pell. He revealed that a new service for TNT/SAB Express customers in Saudi Arabia would be announced within weeks.
TNT/SAB Express has already moved its Saudi Arabian headquarters into new premises in Jeddah while the company’s Riyadh and Dhahran offices have undergone major refurbishment. — (menareport.com)
