A three-day seminar on Oman’s property market was being planned as part of the upcoming International Property Exhibition (IPE) and Money World Exhibition is being to be held next month, a leading industry source recently revealed.

The seminar will focus on trends in the sultanate’s property market, which has recently experienced a rise in property values after nearly ten years, according to Gulf News.

Freeman, managing director of the Arabian Research Bureau, explained that Oman has two types of property markets-- one for citizens and another in designated tourism areas where foreigners are allowed to invest.

"At the moment, demand for both sectors looks good," he said.

The International Property Exhibition is being organized under the auspices of Ministry of Housing, Electricity and Water.

The expo aims to enabling local and international suppliers of property and real estate investment opportunities and services to make direct contact with potential Omani investors and resident expatriate clients.
