Senior Moroccan and Iranian officials have recently expressed a mutual desire to improve the trade relationship between the two countries, reported IRNA, the official Iranian news agency.

The statement was made following a meeting Rabat between the Moroccan minister of economy, finance and tourism, Fathallah Oualaou, and the visiting Iranian minister of labor, Hosseini Kamali.

In his statement, Kamali said that relationships like that of Iran and Morocco should be nurtured, in order to counterbalance what he termed as “the improper division imposed by the countries of the North.”

World trade policies are geared to assist the industrial development of the North, leaving the countries of South to concentrate mainly on agriculture, the Iranian minister continued. ― (MENA Report)
