The United Arab Emirate's National Human Resources Authority (Tanmia) has joined forces with international management consultancy, Consulting Edge to launch Project Tamiuz, a program designed to enhance the employability of UAE nationals. Tanmia provides the national resources and funding for the project while Consulting Edge delivers the training requirements.

“The 12-week program has been specifically designed to bridge the gap between employer requirements and expectations and the job seeking development of nationals registered on Tanmia's database,” said Tanmia Employment Division Director, Abdulla Al Marzouqi.

Project Tamiuz, which means excellence in Arabic, was announced prior to the graduation of the first course of 20 students, which was sponsored by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Government of Dubai.

Project Tamiuz's program content and methodology was developed as a result of intensive labor market research and thorough collaboration with Tanmia. In the DTCM's case, students had training opportunities in Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House, Heritage Village & Dubai Museum.

The second Tamiuz course is being sponsored by the National Bank of Dubai, which is looking to recruit graduates as management trainees. It incorporates foundation ‘technical banking' training during the ‘on the job' element.

Consulting Edge is an international management consultancy with offices in the UAE, the United Kingdom and Ireland. It has various sector and industry experience spanning finance, utilities, oil and gas, manufacturing, transport and health. — (menareport.com)
